When cherry blossoms are blooming, a lot of tourists from all over the world visit Tokyo to see them. (Number of foreign visitors to Japan: 1.05 million in March 2014, 1.52 million in March 2015, 2.1 million in March 2016) Hanami is a Japanese cultural trait and tourism aspect that the world recognizes now. And for the Tokyo Olympic Games held in 2020, the number of foreign tourists will inevitably increase further. Therefore, with the aim of having you visit the cities of “Tokyo” not only the cherry blossom viewing spot, Tokyo is considered as a canvas during the cherry blossom season, citizen’s handmade creative flower’s welcome creations are displayed in various parts of the city, chic and flowering, we will welcome tourists with our famous japanese hospitality.

On March 25th (Saturday) at Terrace Square, we will produce a huge flower picture with the motif “Kanda myōjin mikoshi Miyairi sanpai” together with the local people. Please enjoy the festival on the whole plaza and the amazing picture painted with petal.
