The coffee collection is an event where you can enjoy the domestic selected coffee roaster at Terrace Square’s entrance.

The third “COFFEE COLLECTION around KANDA – Nishiki-cho 2016 AUTUMN” that was held on October 29 and 30, 2016. Early on the first day, it was crowded with coffee lovers.

Once you step into the venue, you will be drowned in a rich aroma of coffee beans. As you approach each store booth, you can see the barista dripping the coffee with seriousness in their eyes.
The coffee you can taste at this event is a single origin that is brewed with a single type of beans of choice that is called specialty coffee. It is a craft and a daily cup that is offered under the same conditions as a cup of handfuls in front of you. That’s why every cup of coffee, of course, reflects the individuality of the production area and creator = roaster and barista.

If you change your mind while in the line, the top barista -who are usually making coffee in shops- are making coffee with a smile while talking with the visitors. This is such a sight that you won’t usually see and that is seen at that event, it is also an irresistible event to love coffee even more than before.
On the ground floor of Terrace Square which is the entrance of the office building, we can see there are many people who love coffee especially on that day. Even just watching the scenery, you can really feel the atmosphere coffee collection.

Unlike in other drink and food, coffee is not just about the taste. Just smell the aroma coming from the cup of coffee and let the scent heal you and make you feel happy. Feel the commitment and skill of the producer, you can think of the production area of the beans and can enjoy other various scents. Such a cup of coffee naturally contains the various thoughts of the people involved in it.
Going to this event and next time you will want to go to the real stores and taste more coffee. It is also the charm of coffee, it makes a connection between a person to another, and a connection between the people and the town.

You will find not only coffee, but also antiques and miscellaneous goods, labels for letterpress printing, mobile bookstores and so on gathered at the venue. Indispensable in order to enjoy your day-to-day life with coffee, you can shop a variety of things with all the booth present there.

The next edition of this event will be held at the entrance of Terrace Square near the Golden week for two days on April 22nd and 23rd.
There is 5 coffee booths of different shop open on these days, and everyone can enjoy a cup of coffee for 500 yen. The coffee is sold out by the day, and you can also purchase a “5 cups tickets” and then you can compare the coffee of the 5 different booth open on that day. You can easily taste the different flavors that each booth proposed on that day, it was such a luxurious and fun coffee experience.

In addition to this year edition, a new project called “COFFEE COLLECTION DISCOVER” to find colleagues leading worldwide coffee from this coffee collection was launched. It will also be open not only to domestic but also foreign roasters selection. In addition, COFFEE BAR will be holding a special free live record label.

After the cherry blossoms season that make you feel like spring finally arrived, why not looking forward to some moment with a friendly person or with your colleagues.
